Development "political wining mantra" But what is development for india??

Recently probably because of Elections i started earring a word "Development". Which government is good for development?etc. What is the true definition of Development?? what it is for India?? becoming country like the US?? or free electricity or subsidized Rice to the poor or subsidized railway tickets for the Economy class passengers or low interest rates on Home loans/commercial sector or Pension for senior citizens or all things together?? What do you say about any factor which got improved on the basics of India or politicians vision. Neither citizens nor politicians know the definition of development! It is a travel without destiny.

Up lifting the poor is not possible by subsidized rice packets, but in creating a opportunity to perform, it is social & economical up lift! 70 to 80% of the people live on agriculture , any policies to improve agriculture?? It is not free electricity to pump the water or lifting loans on farmers. opportunity to perform, direction towards improvements in techniques and research in production, vision to strengthen social/economical views of agriculture! who addressed primary strength of India these times?? When an IT professional can afford an luxury car and house, why not a farmer?? Are we balanced by our economical strategies??Rich is becoming Richer and the poor is pushed to the poorest levels.
Is development lies in Foreign direct investment policy or in making the country self sustainable in all sectors?? My opinion about the development for our country is " to bring social, economical balance and to become self sustainable in all verticals of the country".Any moves in these directions?? We find thousand parties/sanghas to divide the people. Religion,caste,language...etc. what is unique about all Indians?? How many respects other religion/caste??What is the reason for all these things??where is the origin to unite people and to make better India??Still Exploring..
